+points:* Super sweet <i>childhood-friends-to-enemies-to-lovers-to-more</i> slow burn storyline.* Fantastic diversity rep (inc. religion, race, sexuality, identity, social class, & mental illness).* Gorgeous descriptions that created such vivid imagery.-points:* Baffling choice of 3rd person limited POV over 1st person.* Far too many side-characters and side-plots to follow.* The drama often felt hugely overblown. (For example: Emir went to England for a summer without telling Sebastian he was going and when he came back Sebastian had made new friends so the two of them just didn't even bother trying to talk again. Then: Sebastian sticks up for Emir and Emir gets annoyed by it so they don't speak to each other at all for weeks and weeks and weeks). Yet, because of the huge cast of characters, it also often felt kinda swept over.Nit-picky issues:* I hate Man U.* Emir would not have a British accent! (He was moved away from England at the tender age of four and has spent one summer there since).* Due to all the references of Willie and Hunter being affectionate and snuggly, I was reading under the assumption they were a 'thing' long before they actually became a 'thing'.Overall verdict: An enjoyable and adorable read.
